Two of our buildings are getting new names! With everything that is moving between the Sheep and Goat Barn and The Show Ring, we decided that it would be less confusing if the buildings had names that reflected their new uses. All references in 2017 will include “formerly the..” to ease the transition. The Show Ring has been renamed the “Agriculture Pavilion” and the Sheep and Goat Barn has been renamed to the “East Ring”.
If you’re not sure whether this was necessary, imagine the following conversation:
BOB (on cell phone): Where are you?
BILL: In the barn with the sheep and goats.
BOB: You mean the Sheep and Goat Barn?
BILL: No, the barn with the sheep and goats – the Show Ring.
BOB: But isn’t the show ring now in the Sheep and Goat Barn?
BILL: I’m not at the show ring, I’m in the Show Ring.
versus:
BOB (on cell phone): Where are you?
BILL: I’m in the Ag Pavillion.
BOB: Hold tight, I’ll meet you there in 5 minutes.
