The dates of the LEX generally fall during Hunger Awareness Week in Canada. Given our strong connection to agriculture and the abundance of food in Canada, we decided not to just raise “awareness” about hunger but to help reduce hunger in our community by partnering with Kawartha Lakes Food Source on two events.
For WEDNESDAY ONLY, you will be able to purchase 10 rides for $10 if you bring a non-perishable food item to the ticket kiosk in the Midway. This is an even better deal than the Twoonie Rides Night, and you’re helping stock the shelves of the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. That makes it a doubly good deal!
